There are a lot of activities you could engage in while away on your stag weekend with your friends but, in the end, it always comes down to one of the following: sports, drinking and lap dances. Of course, a wide range of choice can be found within those activities, so it is crucial that you plan your stag weekend ahead just to avoid being unable to decide what to do when on location. It is usually up to the best man to make all the necessary planning: an important factor is the destination you choose for your mini-holiday, but nowadays every city basically offers the same activities as the others.
Extreme sports have become widely popular in the last few years and they are quite handy for an adrenaline boost – canyoning, cliff jumping and paragliding are among the top choices. After all, it is now or never, as this is probably your last chance to risk everything before starting a family! But for the less adventurous, there are many other sports activities to enjoy during stag weekends. If you pick a coastal city as your destination, there are a lot of things to do and games to play on the beach during the summer – windsurfing and beach volleyball for example. Finally, if you are into sports but are not really a player, you might just want to get tickets for a sports competition or event.
Now that your daily dose of physical activity has been taken care of, it is time to find something else to do for the evening. Starting off the night in an affordable restaurant is a good idea. Make sure to eat plenty of food – you do not want to drink on an empty stomach later!
After dinner, something really fancy would be to hire a limo (or even better, a strip limo) that will take you to your next destination – possibly a casino. There, you can see if you get lucky (with money!), but remember to set a budget first (possibly before you had anything to drink), as you do not want it to be entirely wasted on the Russian roulette.
When the gambling part of the night is finally over, head to a night club for a little sightseeing – alternatively called lap dance. Again, the best man should make all the arrangements for the groom to get a very special one… keep in mind that the old prank where the lap dancer turns out to be a man is always a good one. By this time, everyone should be drunk enough not to remember any of this the following morning, so (almost) anything is allowed and possible.
While away on your stag weekend, identical stag caps and t-shirts are a must and will keep the group close together – it does actually not look too dumb and is now an accepted tradition of stag weekends. After all, fun activities are essential, but bonding with each other and feel like part of a group on a ‘rite of passage’ is undoubtedly the best part of your stag weekend.
